You Ningfeng Met Mr. Devedjan, French Minister of Industry
On May 15, You Ningfeng, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province met a delegation led by Mr. Devedjan, French Minister of Industry, in Guangzhou. In an amiable and friendly atmosphere, the two parties held in-depth talks on matters related to the coming 2nd CSMEF and Sino-French SMEs Fair.
You Ningfeng gave the French guests some relevant information of CSMEF, focusing on the background of the 2nd CSMEF. He said, he had led a delegation to France in the beginning of this year for matching affairs of CSMEF and got full support from French party. Later, the two parties had close communications on the preparation work of CSMEF. On April 19, Ms Helen Young, Director of Industrial and Technological Cooperation Division of UBIFRANCE, and Mr. Olivier Candiotti, Economic and Commercial consul of Guangzhou Economic Division of French Embassy in China, paid a special visit to the Secretariat of CSMEF for the discussion of matters related to CSMEF. She had made an on-spot inspection of the venue for the 2nd CSMEF. The two parties exchanged information and frank opinions about their respective preparation work for Sino-French SMEs Fair. On May 3rd, Bo Xilai, Minister of Commerce, led a delegation to Paris to attend the First Sino-French SMEs Cooperation Talks, which won great enthusiasm and achieved pronounced results. All these provided an excellent start for the jointly held SMEs Fair. Vice Governor You show heart-felt gratitude to French party for their strong support and cooperation of the 2nd CSMEF. He expressed, at present all business and exhibition invitation, publicity and promotion work of the 2nd CSMEF were being carried out in an orderly manner. He wished that Chinese and French party would keep close contacts to jointly hold a successful 2nd CSMEF.
Mr. Devedjan, French Minister of Industry, said that visiting Guangzhou took much importance during his China visit; President Chirac had put great concern on the cooperation and communication between Chinese and French SMEs. He designated to pay a special visit to Guangdong for the purpose of holding a successful 2nd CSMEF together. Mr. Devedjan added that, France had issued CSMEF into the scheme of promoting 1000 French SMEs to explore Chinese market, and had actively launched all preparation works to attract French SMEs to attend the Fair in China. He emphasized, French party would exert all its efforts to hold a successful 2nd CSMEF in collaboration with Chinese party to promote the further development of Sino-French Economic and Trade relationship. |
