Release Conference for the 2nd CSMEF
was held in Beijing
On 13rd, April, 2005, the Release Conference for the 2nd CSMEF was held in Beijing. Ou Xinqian who is vice chairman of the CSMEF Organizing Committee and vice director of National Development and Reform Commission, Wang Dongfeng who is vice director of the CSMEF Organizing Committee and vice director of State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and You Ningfeng who is the executive director of the CSMEF Organizing Committee and vice governor of the Guangdong
Province were present at the conference. Representatives from ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of finance and ministry of commerce as well as CSMEF organizers have attended the conference. Minister-counselor of the French embassy in china, Testard has been invited to the conference and to deliver a speech there. Reporters from about 70 news media attended the conference.
It is reported that holding the 2nd CSMEF is an important means to help SMEs get much more information and exploit international market. It is an act of implementing the spirit of the 16th NCCPC and the 3rd and 4th session of 11th Central Committee of the Party; putting into effect the SMEs Promotion Law of PRC and Non-state owned Economy Promotion Measures (issued by Ministry of Commerce).Meanwhile, Chinese and French government will jointly sponsor the fair, as can improve bilateral cooperation on economy, trade and technology.
It is said that, based on the success of the 1st CSMEF, the 2nd CSMEF will improve the healthy development of SMEs by building a platform for SMEs to exhibiting and exchange products, to communicate and cooperate with each other. With the authorization of State Council, Sino-French SME Fair would be held at the same time. Therefore , there will be a French SME Section and 9 professional sections, including Electronics & IT products Section; Commodities Sections; Leather Section; Textiles & Garments; Household Electrical Appliances Section; Foodstuff & Beverage Section; Medicine Section; Machine Section(firings for autos and motorbikes);Ceramics Section,etc. 5000 Chinese and more than 300 French exhibitors will attend the fair. Meanwhile, a series of related events will also be held in support of CSMEF. These includes Senior Forum on Sino-France SMEs, Program Introduction for Sino-France SMEs, Purchasing Introduction of international retailers and UN procurement agents, Talks on SMEs Financing, Technological Commodities Fair and Investment Seminar and Training for Small and Medium Enterprises.
In his speech, Mr Testard, Minister-counselor of French embassy in China, said that French government appreciate the bilateral communication and cooperation between France and China. The fair is a good opportunity for French SMEs to exploit Chinese market .To them, attending the fair will be a discovery traveling in south china.
