French Government makes active preparation
for Sino-France Small and Medium Enterprises Fair
On 17th Mar, 2005, Vice-director of Guangdong Economy and Trade Commission, Wen Guohui, met French counterpart Philippe Favre when he wass visiting Paris. They held a talk on the further cooperation on the Sino-France Small and Medium Enterprises Fair.
Mr Favre pointed out that French government had treated the fair as the first choice to help French SMEs develop Chinese market since vice-governor of Guangdong Province You Ningfeng visit France. Government financial department will support the French Exhibitors, as can ensure more and more French SME exhibitors. A French governor will be present at the opening of the fair. He hoped that Chinese government would choose 300 to 400 SMEs to make further cooperation with French SMEs.
Mr Favre said, French Enterprises International Development Bureau had been appointed as the fair organizers by French government and was responsible for the work of organizing French SME exhibitors. This bureau had made a good plan after vice-governor You Ningfeng¡¯s visit.
First, the bureau had decided to hold a promotion fair for CSMEF on 1st Mar, 2005. Minister Representative from French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, Mr Loos who is in charges of the foreign trades, and Chinese ambassador in France, Mr Zhao Jinjun would be present at the promotion fair.
Second, the bureau had send message to France-China Committee, French SME Union, and French Employers Association with a hope that they could invite SMEs to attend CSMEF. Also the bureau had asked the help of some local chambers of commerce from the friend provinces and cities of China Guangdong Province, like Upper Normandy Province, etc.
Third, the bureau would send SMEs the application forms recently and ask them to give the filled form back before 15th Apr if they would like attend the fair.
Fourth, Ms Yang Helen, chief of the industry and technology division of the bureau, would make a special visit to Guangzhou about the further cooperation in middle April.
