The 5th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair & Sino-Korea Small and Medium Enterprises Fair is scheduled to be held from Sept 22- 25, 2008 at Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center. There will be 5000 international standard exhibition booths available, 4000 booths for the domestic enterprise exhibitors and 1000 booths for the overseas enterprise exhibitors. The overseas enterprise exhibition areas are respectively, ¡°Korean Exhibition Area¡±, ¡°ASEM SMEs Exhibition Area¡± and ¡°International and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Exhibition Area¡±.
The overseas exhibition enterprises have long been the outstanding spotlight of the CISMEF for their large scale and previous achievements. Since the initial preparation of the 5th the CISMEF, greater achievements have been made with the steady promotion of the overseas exhibition invitation and investment invitation when the Overseas Foreign Affairs Group of the secretariat joined efforts with other provincial departments with Korea and ASEM members as the key focal points under the vigorous support of the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and high attention of the vice governor of Guangdong Provincial Government, Tong Xing, deputy secretary general, Lin Ying and the direct guidance and participation of the director of the provincial Economic and Trade Commission, Yang Jianchu, Inspector Qi Zhenli and deputy director Chen Xiangxin. At present the subscribed exhibition booths reached 1218 (including approximately 550 for Korean exhibitors for 10000 square meters and 668 booths for exhibitors of ASEM and other countries). The target of 1000 overseas exhibition booths have bee fulfilled one month ahead of schedule and it is predicted that enterprises from more than 30 countries and regions will attend the 5th CISMEF.
